Echobit AMA Recap | What Will Define the Next Era of Crypto Trading?
2026.08.21
As the crypto market continues to mature, trading is evolving beyond simple asset buying and selling. Perpetuals, copy trading, prediction markets, automated strategies, and AI are creating new ways for users to participate, while liquidity, security, user experience, and community partnerships are becoming increasingly important to the competitiveness of trading platforms.
In this Echobit AMA, the guests discussed what will drive the next wave of trading activity, which products could attract new crypto users, what keeps traders loyal to a platform, how exchanges can build meaningful community partnerships, and which emerging trends could shape the industry over the next 3–5 years.

Theme: What Will Define the Next Era of Crypto Trading?
Q1 | As the crypto market matures, what do you think will drive the next major wave of trading activity?
Azibi|InsideX: New Products and Better Ways to Interact With Market Information
Azibi believes the next wave of trading activity will not be driven by institutional capital or retail traders alone, but rather by new products and better ways of interacting with market information. As the market evolves, users need more than simply trading the same assets in the same ways. Perpetuals introduced new trading opportunities, copy trading lowered the barrier to following strategies, and automation reduced the amount of manual work required from traders.
Looking ahead, prediction markets and information markets could further expand the boundaries of trading. Instead of simply taking a view on whether an asset will rise or fall, users can express their views around specific events, market expectations, and information. Azibi believes that information itself is becoming an increasingly important part of financial markets, with AI helping process massive amounts of data while markets transform that information into measurable collective expectations.
Rather than viewing institutions and retail traders as competing forces, Azibi sees greater potential in building products that can attract both groups while using better information tools to improve their overall value.
Q2 | Perpetuals, copy trading, prediction markets, and automated trading are all growing rapidly. Which product has the greatest potential to bring new users into crypto?
Saadia|Verity AI: Automation Could Make Crypto Significantly More Accessible
Saadia believes automated trading could have the greatest potential to drive user growth, particularly because it can address one of crypto's biggest long-term challenges: complexity. Many mainstream users do not want to spend hours studying charts, understanding funding rates, or constantly deciding when to enter and exit a position. If AI and automated systems can handle more of the execution based on users' risk levels and preferences, the barrier to participating in crypto could be significantly reduced.
At the same time, Saadia does not expect a single product to dominate on its own. The more powerful direction may be the combination of different capabilities: traditional markets providing price discovery and liquidity, copy trading lowering the barrier to participation, and AI simplifying execution. The next generation of users may not enter crypto because they want to become professional traders, but because the technology has become simple enough that they can participate without needing to become traders themselves.
Azibi|InsideX: Prediction Markets Could Become an Intuitive Gateway Into Crypto
Azibi added that prediction markets may have a particularly intuitive appeal for people who have never used crypto before. Instead of learning traditional trading concepts first, users can simply express their view on an event and see how other participants view the same outcome.
This is also why InsideX is interested in Information Markets. People already make decisions based on information and expectations in everyday life. AI-native information markets could structure these opinions and expectations, making them measurable, tradable, and ultimately settled on-chain. From this perspective, prediction markets could serve not only as an entry point into crypto, but also as a gateway that introduces users to other products such as automated trading.
Q3 | With more exchanges competing for the same users, what ultimately determines whether traders stay on one platform for the long term?
Saadia|Verity AI: Liquidity and Security Are the Foundation, but Experience Drives Retention
Saadia believes that liquidity and security are fundamental requirements for any exchange, but they are not enough to create long-term loyalty. Traders naturally care about execution quality, market depth, competitive fees, and the security of their funds. Incentives can also attract users in the short term, but if the overall experience is poor or liquidity declines once rewards end, users can easily move elsewhere.
The real differentiator is therefore the overall trading experience. This includes whether a platform offers the assets users actually want, whether it helps them manage risk more effectively, and whether it can introduce automation and AI capabilities without making the experience more complicated.
As the market matures, trust will become increasingly important. Traders are not simply choosing a place to execute trades; they are choosing a platform where they can keep funds, trade with confidence, and build a long-term relationship.
Q4 | KOLs, communities, and affiliate partners have become important user acquisition channels for exchanges. What makes these partnerships genuinely valuable for both platforms and communities?
Victory|Noma: Meaningful Partnerships Are Built on Trust, Not Just Reach
Victory believes many so-called community partnerships ultimately amount to exchanging logos, publishing content, or generating short-term exposure. While these activities can create visibility, they do not necessarily build meaningful relationships with users. Truly effective partnerships should be built around transferring credibility rather than simply maximizing reach.
When community leaders or KOLs actually use a product, identify real problems, provide genuine feedback, and openly share their experiences, that trust can naturally extend to their audiences. Users do not have to believe in a product simply because they saw a promotional post; they are more likely to trust it when someone they follow is genuinely using and evaluating it. Victory sees a clear difference between authentic recommendations based on real experience and scripted promotional content.
Audience fit is also more important than audience size. An exchange targeting experienced traders may gain little long-term value from partnering with a community primarily interested in discovering new technologies, even if that community generates a large number of registrations. Effective partnerships should first understand who the community members are, what they are currently doing, and what they may need in the coming months, and then determine whether those needs align with the exchange's products.
Ultimately, the greatest value a community can provide is not a headline number such as “one million impressions,” but a highly relevant audience with genuine interest in the product and the potential to become long-term users.
Q5 | Looking ahead 3–5 years, what developments in crypto trading do you think are currently underestimated but could become major industry trends?
Victory|Noma: Agent-to-Agent Trading Could Reshape the Next Generation of Markets
Victory believes one of the most underestimated trends in Crypto × AI is Agent-to-Agent Trading. Much of today's discussion around AI focuses on how human traders can use AI to improve signals, execution, and risk management. But this still represents a “Human-in-the-Loop” model.
The next stage could involve AI agents directly trading with one another without humans needing to participate in every transaction. Making this possible will require an entirely new layer of infrastructure, including on-chain identity, reputation, wallets, credit, liquidity, and systems that allow agents to discover counterparties, negotiate terms, and settle transactions autonomously.
Victory noted that this infrastructure is already beginning to emerge, with Noma exploring areas including autonomous economic identity, on-chain identity, financial infrastructure, machine-native credit, and Agent Commerce. Once Agent-to-Agent Trading reaches meaningful scale, the structure of financial markets could change significantly. Humans will not necessarily disappear from the process; instead, they may increasingly rely on AI agents to conduct economic activities on their behalf. Projects that successfully integrate agents into their products and ecosystems could therefore have a significant competitive advantage over the next 2–5 years.
